Kora-kora and Pekaratan Beach

Kora Kora Beach is located east of Minahasa is a white sandy beach which has been known since the Portuguese came to the Minahasa in century 17. Kora Kora beach flanked by 2 small fishing village Kamenti in the north and the other village in the south is Atep Oki. This beach is originally named Port Tondano had made one of those places Tondano rice trade with the Portuguese, and has also been used as weapons of Tondano point in the war against the Dutch colonial . In World War 2 Dutch use Kora Kora beach as one of the defensive wall that until now this legacy is still there.
Kora Kora beach can be reached from Sam Ratulangi International airport, approximately 1.5 hours by Airmadidi and Kema, or about 2 hours through the city Tomohon, Tondano, and Kapataran village.
On the way from Sam Ratulangi airport to the beach, Kora Kora, tourists can visit several tourist attractions such as ancient tombs "Waruga" in the village of Sawangan, Airmadidi; spiritual tourism "Kelong" in Kakaskasen Tomohon and industrial houses in the village Woloan Minahasa. Before leaving the Tomohon city, tourists can stop for a moment to enjoy the serenity of the lake yield sulfur, namely Lake "Linow" in the village Lahendong. Finally, natural beauty and scenery of the lake which is Tondano largest lake in northern Sulawesi
which is very difficult to be ignored by the tourists before they continue to Kora-Kora Beach.
